I'm curious as to which non run-flat tire is the most quiet on the road.
Reason I'm asking is that I am currently running a set of Yokohamas with the older "V" tread design. I just recently switched over my OEM shocks to Koni FSD shocks and noticed that the road noise has increased. I think it's because the tire/wheel is now more firmly planted against the road.
Since I am planning some new CCW wheels in the near future, I will also be upgrading the rubber so I am curious if anyone noticed a lower noise level based on tire manufacturer, i.e. Pirelli, Michelin, etc., perhaps based on tread design.
I bought my car last year and I'm still on the set that came with the car. They're BFG KDW2s, 275/35 front and 295/35 on the rear; on CCW SP500s, 19x10 up front and 19x11 in back.
I don't really notice much noise, but then my exhaust is pretty loud.

Can't help you on the "quietest" non-run flats. My car had Yokohama AVS sports on it when I first bought it although a somewhat decent tire I thought they were noisy. BFG KDW's I had affixed next and they were a much better tire overall less noise and far better longevity.
I just had CCW wheels and Michelin Pilot Sports put on my car within the last 2 months and just within the short amount of time I've been able to drive the car, I can already tell the money was well spent on rubber. These are truly great tires and a cut above anything else I've had as far as road tires.
I bought Michelin Pilot Supersports (non-runflats) a couple of months ago & they're pretty quiet. They replaced Goodyear F1 Supercar EMT tires up front and Michelin Pilot Sports in back & that combo provided a smooth, quiet ride too though. The Supersports are just as quiet.

I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport Runflats and couldn't believe how much quieter they were than the Goodyear Runflats. I got over 70k miles on the Michelins I put on the fronts too. Excellent tires!!

I bought Nitto Invos when I switched from the oem runflats and it made a very significant reduction in noise but I don't think that I can I compare them to all other tires? How would I know?

I've had BFG KDW's, Michelin PS2's (non run flat), and currently I have Continental ContiSport Contact 3's.....the PS2's were the best all around for quiet, ride quality, wet and dry handling. The only caveat was when the PS2's got cold, and when they got down to about 3/32 tread life - it was like driving on slicks.
I really want to try the new Michelin Pilot SuperSports. They cost less than the PS2, and the ratings in all of the categories are as high and in some cases higher than the PS2.
Michelin Pilot Sports were designed specifically for this vehicle and are very quiet. Friend of mine got some cheaper non run flats and there is a lot of noise in his C5.
Good luck!
