Long story short, I got in a little accident a few weeks ago. I ended up having to put on new wheels (one was a little bent so I replaced them all) and tires. I had them installed yesterday and then drove up to orlando (230 mile trip). I'm planning on driving back to ft. lauderdale tomorrow and getting an alignment when I get back. On the way up here I noticed the car was pulling slightly to the right when I would let go of the wheel.
My question is, is it alright to be driving this distance (total of about 460 miles) with the alignment a little bit off? I'm concerned if it will wear the tires wrong.
without knowing actual numbers it's hard to say. if you can visibly see any deflection, don't drive it. the danger part, more than tire wear is if you injured a tie rod and it's at risk of failure. if a tierod ever fails you will loose control of the car in most cases. imagine what happens if one wheel suddenly is not connected to the steering wheel
get a lifetime alignment at firestone and have an alignment done. if you have broken or worn parts they will catch it. if something needs replaced you can have it aligned again for free. the lifetime alignment deal for 179 is a steal. this literally means you can go have aggressive specs set for the track, then dial back for the street one day later.

Good info, I forgot to mention that I had the tie rod and hub replaced. So no worries there. I just don't want to wear these tires in a way they shouldn't be. It probably not a big deal, I'm sure another 230 miles isn't going to have any affect on these tires.
