Default Reverse bleed

I just checked the archives and found the brake bleed order is R/R L/F L/R R/F. My question is using this order can the brakes br bleed from the caliper to the master. Air rises and I have heard that this is a great way to get the air out. I need your help on this.
PS I am flushing out all old fluid.

When I was turning wrenches for a living, we always reverse bled when we did brake work for two reasons.

1) You can do it by yourself, don't need someone to pump the pedal.

2) It is the best way to make sure there is no air trapped anywhere, giving you a soft pedal.

I don't know if this works on anti-lock systems though as I have never worked on one. Don't know if it changes the pattern or anything, but on a regular system, the pattern is RR, LR, RF, LF as you start at the point farthest from the master cylinder and work toward it. This is part of what makes sure that there is not any air trapped anywhere.

Since you are changing out your fluid, this is going to change things for you anyway as you would have to either keep emtying the master cyl. resevoir or rig some way to catch the fluid as you go.

Don't think I helped, but there it is.

Bleed order depends on what year you have, 01+ has a different patten than 00-
