As I am a fumbled-fingered tool man, I need someone, this weekend, in the Toledo, OH or Flint, MI (or anywhere in between) area that has the knowledge to install Body Side Moldings (BSM's) on my 1999 Torch Red Vert.
I will pay you any reasonable amount to do this. If you've never done this before, I have, thanks to the genorosity of the members of this forum, the instructions for putting them on.
Open the top of the trash can and insert. You may have to bend the longer ones depending on the size of your trash can.
He didn't ask for an opinion, he asked for help installing them. Forum members often have trouble answering questions as asked, and sometimes even reading them.

Go to ACI (American Custom Industries) and see what Bart can do for you http://acivette.com/
American Custom Industries didn't even know what I was talking about when I called them (1-month ago). It took me three people to talk to and two days for them to get back to me. Their pricing was OUTRAGEOUS!!
No, I would rather find a forum member who needs a little extra cash to put them on for me. If I don't find someone soon, then I'll try a few body shops I trust.

Not to mention, if you read the bold print, he said he will gladly pay someone!

My bodyshop installed mine, that I bought the same color as my car-torch red. He used the light that serves as a level and said it didn't take too long. In fact, there was no charge since he knew me for years, so I can't give you an idea of price. It can be done while you wait. Check to make sure you have the 3M double sided tape.

I would think that a Chevy dealership body shop (or any competent body shop for that matter) should be able to get them on for you in the proper position. Since you have the placement info, it shouldn't be that hard for them to get it right. Good luck - I think they will look very good on your car.

Let me know ASAP so I can make plans!!
Tom, there a few major Corvette dealers in Ohio, such as Bud's which I think is near Columbus. If you can't find anyone to help and you are willing to try it yourself, I'll write something up with a detailed description of how I would do it. Let me know and I'll mail it to you. Sorry you're having such a tough time. If you've got the patience it will be tedious but not difficult.
