Thank the crazy "related threads" so called feature that was introduced here a while back. It's purpose in life seems to be to dig up old and irrelevant threads.
As to the "car still for sale" bit, the guy shown, Brit actor Rowan Atkinson owned a McLaren F1, which he sold for about $10M a few years back, and is an accomplished historic sports car racer. And has quite the car collection.

I was in PA maybe 2 months ago. ******** were spraying down new white lines on the road and never had any warning cones or signs.
Got that white **** splattered all along the right side of my Yukon, in the wheel wells, the side bars, my hitch carrier, and all over the rear wheel of my bike. It was a ******* mess.and I didn't know until about.100 miles out when I stopped for gas. I was sooooo pissed

No chip and seal here in southwest Florida. Very good roads here compared to the roads I previously dealt with in the Pittsburgh area, and also central Wisconsin (used chip and seal in the small town where I lived).

I'm pretty sure PA isn't the only state that does that but I agree that it could ruin your day. I've had something similar happen where I had to pretty much crawl until I could find another route but there was always some asshat in a pickup who would fly by spraying the crap all over my car. I feel your pain.
I'm here in western NY, and while the major roadways get a fresh layer of asphalt, "every once in a while", the secondary roads and/or "side streets", get the tar/chip seal....
