I was under the impression that my PCV setup is entirely stock. I know the differences between the early LS1 setup and the LS6 setup. I am looking at adding a CCA catch can and their install pics show no check valve from the valley cover tray.
My '02 Z06 has the the setup in the pictures below.
Valve cover to upper TB hose, no restrictions. Valley cover tray with valley port to the loop hose w/PCV valve to manifold port. I have the TPIS 90mm TB, but the ports and routing are all the same.
I called CCA and was told that the LS6 valley tray has the PCV within it and that the PCV valve pictured on my car might be redundant. I am the sixth owner of my vehicle so I have no idea what may have been done as I have not removed the tray. The previous owner had a shop install a cam, other than that I have found no evidence of anything else being modified until my mods.
IIRC The early ls6 had the external PCV valve, but the later LS6 (2004) eliminated it and has one built in. I'm running the EE catch can on my 01 and it specifically states to keep the PCV valve in place for early ls6 cars.
