Wish I had known about this when I had my previous '99 with Corsa Indy Tigersharks, but there is a method of doing what others on here are calling a by pass. On the end of the muffler where the inlet and outlet pipes are, you weld a short piece of pipe between the inlet and the outlet tubes effectively bypassing the muffler with a portion of the exhaust flow. This is supposed to increase the volume and retain a nice tone.
My Corsa's were beautiful, but wayyyyyy too quiet!!! I plan to do this mod on the stock exhaust of the '99 I just bought a couple of weeks ago to see just how effective it is. If it works well, so that I know I have some recourse, then I may decide to sink major bucks into another after-market exhaust!
Just do a search on here for exhaust bypass and you should get more info. Depending on how the Corsa's go together this may not work for you. The stock mufflers are all one piece at this point, so I won't be disabling any joints where pipes clamp together. You might.
