Tire size help
I just got my c6 zo6 repos in today 17-9.5 in the front 18-10.5 in the rear. I'm sure I can go back with the 275/40/17 in the front am I correct? But what size should I go with in the rear? Also what brand do you prefer? Not really trying to go the DR route but a nice thick tire would be nice.

Yes the 275/40/17 will fit on the 17x9.5 wheel. For the rear you can go with a 305/35/18
These are available in Nitto NT555, which I understand is a real good tire for grip and street use.

Would a 295/35/18 work? And if so without it having to be stretched?

the 305 is wider than 295...but look at the spec's on the tires,,some brand's size's run differant on the #'s ... (and yes the 295-35-18 BFG will fit the 10.5 rim).....

Its funny you posted this.
295/35/18 will work. After about two weeks debating between the BFGoodrich and Nitto I bought the BFG's - they arrive in tomorrow.

I went C5 Z06 rim and tire size...(see photo, mine is on the right, my friend is stock on the left), I went 17x8.5 front with 276/40 and 18X10.5 with 295/35.. No rubbing, fills out the wells just fine..

I realize that - but the previous owner had put the wrong sized tires on. As you will see it is a common trend with a few other owners as well.
