......Very true guys...driving the car every day, it is BOUND to get small road chips, so I keep touch-up paint on hand at all times. But just because I don't cry and run off to the body shop to have the whole car resprayed every time I even think I see a small chip or scratch does not mean I don't have the upmost respect for my car or other people's.
You more or less expect stone chips, etc, because that's what happens when you drive a car. But damage to YOUR car, from SOMEONE ELSE'S negligence is another thing entirely!
MANY years ago, I had a big behemoth of a '69 Chevy station wagon for a winter car. One New Year's eve, I went out for dinner, a party, the whole New Year's deal, with a girl I was dating back then. I took her home at the end of the evening, and she invited me in for a cup of tea. I parked the car in the street in front of her house. In the 20 minutes or so that I was in her house, some jackass backed into the car, shoving in the rear quarter pretty good. Beater or not, I was pizzed!!
