I got a used set of TPIS headers and was told they were for a later 01-04 model, but when I got them the AIR port is on the back runner of the passenger side header where as on the stock manifold it is in the middle. Are these actually for an earlier model or...? Any way seeing as the AIR tubing is metal I don't think there will be much play in it where I would be able to get the tube to line up with the port on the header. What are my options here? I know you can delete the system and block the ports, but I was hoping to leave the system intact, but if I have to delete it I will. Are there any issues with deleting the AIR system beside the CEL and what is involved...i.e. what all needs to be removed, blocked, rerouted etc...? Car is an 03Z
PS I did search and did not find exactly what I was looking for, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
yes that is helpful, thank you. Basically I need to do the opposite of what the article says. Does anyone know what the part number is for the passenger side AIR tube off a pre 2001 or perhaps has one they would be willing to part with? Thanks.

Or you can remove the AIR tube and cap off the ports. If you do that you will need to have your car re-tuned. I recently pulled the AIR system off my car and it is so much easier to do work in that area, it also looks a lot cleaner.
If you want to keep the AIR system you can contact one of the forum sponsors for parts.. Gene has good prices.
