Default Intake Newbe

I've got a 04 Vert and it's a garage queen. Complete XSPower exhast system from heads to rear bumper, K&N dual cone filters, programing change with Hypertech programer and nitrous system on order. Mostly a cruise in car and only gets ~ 1200 miles/year. OK that's the lay of the land.

I'd like to get a FAST intake. Mostly for show. Does the FAST 90 require a LS2 throttle body or will it except the LS1? I've got DBW so is the LS2 DBW? What after market DBW throttle bodies are available? Bottom line...what fits what and what's required?

Thanks

I believe the fast intakes have both bolt patterns. It should be able to accept either LS1 or LS2 style. At least pictures show that...

Yes, both are drive by wire. The wire connector will have to be modified to use an LS2 TB.

I would defiantly use a 90mm or larger TB with a FAST intake. Not much sense to keep the 75-78mm one. So If you come by an LS2 TB for cheap, swipe it up and throw it on. You can use a FAST 92mm TB to match as well. I think you will like the FAST intake not only for its own power increase, but because it has a nice set up all ready to make nitrous installation easy.

You can always add a painted cover over a ZO6 intake as I did

I have not seen a picture of a FAST TB that did not show the cable linkage, but I think its just a universal picture. You can go to a site like Texas-speed and find this throttle available for our cars. If it is for our cars it will have a DBW set up. Or you may have to put the DBW unit on the TB when it comes. Id just call who you plan to buy from and ask.

A good alternative unless you just want the increased performance.
