Default Question for those with longer rear bolts.

I picked up some longer bolts to drop the rear down some more. 7x 1/2 in size. So i put them on and adjusted them 5-6 threads lower than what the stock bolts would allow me. Since the new bolts are a good inch longer than the stock when bounced the rear end the remaining thread is hitting the rear axle.

So i know that some of you use 6 1/2 inch bolts sould i just chop 1/2 of the 7 inchers?

Thanks.

If you were only going to drop the car six threads over stock, you should have went with the 6.50 inch bolts.

As you mentioned, you could remove a half inch from the one's you have on there now.

It's been so long since I was using longer bolts in the rear.......
Couldn't you just reverse the bolts from top to bottom or would they hit on something else?

Hows it ride after going that low? I only did what the stock would allow and its very stiff already. Are you going to get an alignment? your camber is off now and could wear the insides of your tires without you knowing.

Not finshed with this project yet. I was maxed out on stock bolts recently. I now have the lowering bolts from zip up front and longer bolts in the rear. And yes an alighnment is a must with this mod.-

Greased up the bushings and droped the bolts in from the top down. Took it for a spin today and heard some minor rubbing on the inner weels when hitting bumps. I tightned up the rear bolts just a bit more for some needes clearence. The ride is slightly harder but not by any means bad.
