I don't remember my C5 repeatedly unlocking and locking the doors if the key fob is near by or in my pocket. Is this normal?
That depends, it would be nice if you posted the year car you have. If you have a 97-99 then yes, that's normal if you have the passive slide switch on the fob in the on position. Also if the switch gets a little dusty inside it will do the same thing. Try sliding the passive switch back and forth several times, then turn it off and walk around the car. It should no longer lock and unlock.
If you have any other year model, then no, it's not normal at all.
What year is your car? Years ago, there were a number of threads on here about individuals who had their "passive" feature turned on and with the car in the garage, it was too close to the fob in the house. The cars would continuously lock and unlock. However, this feature was discontinued in 2000 or 2001, I think.
If yours is '99 or earlier, this could be what it is. If so, just turn off the passive feature on your fobs.

And you have a '97-99 and it still does it after trying the above, turn the switch to the off position. Should stop the locking/unlocking.

I Have a 99 and yes the key fob was in the "on" position. Switched it to off and it took care of the problem. Thanks 65GGvert and to everyone else. I love that we have this forum to help all of us Vet lovers!
