Default Outside temp display not functioning.

00 Vert A4 - Outside Temperature display does not function correctly. It show a temperature some 15 degrees below what is actual. I checked manual and located sensor underneath front end near radiator, cleaned it and still have same problem. Any ideas? If not where can I get a new sensor?

A simple google search yields quite a few results...as would a call to your Chevy dealer. Checker Auto/O'Reilly's has them also.

Just went through this, rock auto, about $15.00 to your door. Remember you have to drive the car a bit after you install it in order for it to reprogram.

They're stocked at the chevy dealer too. Also check carefully the connector just up the wiring, it is exposed to a lot of water and dirt and the contacts in the connector can corrode and cause issues.

Your dealer can get you one - it is a relatively inexpensive part.

65GGVert is right. You most likely have a connection problem. That scoop area gets the nastiest exposure of all I would take it off and look closely for any green or powder like substance (corrosion on the terminals a/o plug)

hey, if it is bad you can get one off a caddy in a pick your part you just have make sure the plug is the same and it is the exact same shape and it will work.

I agree with the mix here, check the wiring for several inches to be certain that there are no problems, and then clean the connection (both sides) as best you can.

Good luck
