Default Paper Temporary Tag

Issued paper temporary Tag.I was advised that the adhesive tape could effect the area where in comes in contact with heating element in the window.Tag must be placed on the drivers side of back glass. Is this true? Thanks.

I've never heard of that before but I don't think that running the rear defroster is much of an issue this time of year.

I've used Scotch tape between the elements, it isn't as aggressive as the sticky side of Oregon's temp stickers.

Laminate it at kinkos for $5 and stick it where the normal license plate goes.

That's what I did when I drove my current car home from NJ.

In Florida when you buy a car and do not have a current tag that you will be transferring, they issue a paper tag and it goes where the standard tag goes.

I used wide clear tape to tape it to the outside of the window and covered the whole temp tag.

I've always put them where the tag goes.

I didn't put it on - kept it in the car. My hope was that if I got stopped I could 'explain' why. Probably a dumb thing to do but it worked.
Also here in OH we are supposed to have a front plate. I carry that inside the car also. Keeping my fingers crossed......

good luck!
