T a guy here put a A/A on his LS3 and used the L92 heads and it is a monster so I was under the impression that it was a good set-up
It will be for a short time then with all that tq of the motor all your bottom end will not be in line are sq no more. Plus the thin walls in the 8 holes and a ton of heat...this really dont go good together..Robert
This all great info and is exactly why I put it out there. I'm just trying to decide if it is financially wise to do this right now, I'm in the middle of a 383 stroker build for the truck. My vette has 130,000 miles on a LS1 A&A supercharged engine, I was just maybe planning for the future. I looked over 3 months for that motor and never found one of these at these prices, that's why I'm thinking about it. Thanks to all and for all the GREAT info. L8R ZFLASH
You need to do some reading up on motors. The LS2 is a much better motor than the LS1!
I'm guessing that you have a stock car with little knowledge on forged motors and FI setups! Otherwise known as a Waxer who is proud of all your trophies!
Don't give advise on something you don't know much about!
Where in my post did I say anything about FI? Please, point it out... The OP is also considering staying NA.
I am not a FI expert nor ever claimed to be; I was merely stating that in NA form, and comparably equipped (i.e. cam swap, basic bolts ons, etc.) the LS2 isn't "that" much more superior to the LS1. For the price difference the OP is considering, I'd go with the LS3 in the above application. I apologize for not being clearer.
I'm guessing you're a typical Vette owner who undoubtedly has knowledge, but fails to exhibit any type of grace when administering said knowledge...
Oh, and when criticizing someone else I advise you to learn how to spell advice.
Well given that you are forced induction already I would assume you are going to put forged internals in whatever it is when it would go into the vette why do an engine swap with a blower and not do forged internals. I think that if this is the case either will make big power and be reliable.
Personally I would be happy with any strong forged bottom end then throw lots of boost at it.

OPs car is currently FI right now and I took his post as he was going to forge the bottom for high boost. I guess we were both wrong and both right, if that makes sense.

Sorry to both you guys for not being clearer, I didn't say which way I was going. I was just wanting to see which way you experts would go and the reasons why, yes I have FI now but I was thinking of going back to NA. My reasons are that I hardly use that much power anymore and maybe a NA would be less stressful and get better gas mileage . It would still have the power when needed just less moving parts. Thanks again guys, L8R ZFLASH
