I can't find a grey glove box handle for my 98. I did come across a vendor that has one listed as "black (PTM)." I am not sure about this paint-to-match route, but it seems to be my only option. If anyone that has done this, please share your experience. I could use the advice as to what type of paint is durable on that plastic piece as well.
Thanks,
Greg
My opinion would be to go to your local body shop supply store and get the SEM Colorcoat for that. It's far better than any "paint" can stuff. It's not a paint in that normal sense but rather a "OEM" application which is made of more durable and better finish than the other stuff. Google SEM COLORCOAT.
I just purchased sem classic coat in light oak #17143 from tcpglobal. Now i see from this thread that they also make color coat 15753 in light oak. I haven't used the classic coat yet and sent email to tcp asking which would be better for painting the hard plastic parts of my interior before starting my project. I will update when i receive a response.
Sem makes two products specially designed for gm interiors. Color coat for plastic and classic coat for leather and vinyl. I understand that either will work on plastic and will bond well. Summit racing and ebay carry these products.
