What is the going price for a good used 3.42 rear differential? Wanting to upgrade soon and wondering what the going price is. Thanks Mike

A non-z06 3.42 3-rib diff can be had for 300-500 in good condition. A z06 diff (with stronger internals) will be a little more.

I recently bought one off ebay that I picked up locally.

Check out Craigslist and local junk yards. I was able to pay a guy 275 bucks to take my 3.42 diff out of a wrecked 04 Z06. Good deals are out there. Look hard and take your time.
