Just to keep this short, my DRLs blow almost always after I wash the Z. Ive read about some fix at the top of the housing to prevent leaks. Can anyone tell/show/illustrate the best way to do this. Thanks..
You can buy a new set for under $100. Once that plastic has melted its a lost cause. I swapped mine out last year for aesthetic reasons and its not all that difficult. I gave away my stock housings in last year's X-Mas pay it forward thread. If you post up asking for a used set someone might just give them to you. I think the aftermarket ones look much better and I'm sure more than one person has a stock set sitting around collecting dust.
I thought you had to add something else in the line if changing over to the LED's, otherwise the blinkers would blink rapidly???
Yes. I believe you need a special wire harness for the LED bulbs. Since an LED uses much less power than a regular bulb, the computer thinks that the bulb has burned out and it does the rapid blinking thing. At least that's my understanding.
