I think the Delco 7yr warranty battery is like $120 from the dealer. I have an 03, and had to replace the original battery in 08.
My car just sat for 9 months, and killed that replacement battery. Lucky for me the 7 yr battery has a 50 month 100% replacement, so as of last week I am sporting another new battery, and another 7yr warranty.
I don't think you can beat that deal.

You can get them any place that handles AC Delco. I got mine at a auto repair shop for $80. I went with the Delco 60 series instead of the Professional because they went with the removable top caps and the 60 is still a sealed battery. I don't want any leakage or acid fumes coming out the caps on mine.

It's a battery, you would just be throwing your money away buying one from a dealer!

Just get one from a local store that sells that type of battery - no need to go to a dealer and most likely get overcharged for one.

Don't go to a dealer! Check on line for local Delco dealers in your area. I paid $85 for a 6yr Professional Series at an auto parts store 5 minutes from my house.

That is amazing battery life. My original Delco died at THREE weeks after I drove it home. Dealer Delco warranty replacement lasted 2 1/2 years. I am now running with a Wallyworld no name replacement that is still going strong after 6 years. IMHO don't buy the dealer Delco - go to Wallyworld or your local parts store and just get the best warrantied battery they offer.

Ten years on any battery is world record territory and you are to be commended.

Batteries are like socks, we all wear them and they all must be replaced from time to time. Buy the one that makes you feel the most comfortable and plan on $75 to $125 out of your pocket.

I buy Die-Hard and I don't plan on changing, but that's just me. Good luck on your replacement.

Okie

The reason why it lasted so long was it spent its whole life hooked up to a battery tender in a nice warm garage.Just got back from the chevy dealer now,got a delco pro 700cca,120rc for $120.

...I wouldn't buy one from a dealer unless I was stranded somewhere and that was my only choice

Just bought my Delco for $78 inlcuding tax and disposal at Gordon Chevrolet. Partsman "Earl" is a great guy to deal with. Never get the Corvette tax, on the contrary.
