Default What's next??

Just bought an 03 Z06 about a month ago. Put the column lock bypass on it and now it's getting the valve springs, plugs and new wires put on.

The car only has 8000 miles on it. Should I be checking the harmonic balancer or is that ok for awhile?

Going to Carlisle and will be putting around a 1000 miles on it that week. The car mostly sat for 10 years, what else should I be checking or changing? Tires look ok but their original, can't afford new ones just yet.

Thanks
Tim

If tyres are original they are well by their recommended life and have the flexibility of wood. Would definitely recommend you replace.

since your going to Carlisle(as am I..) you should get an aftermarket exhaust..If you buy it there they put it on for free..I did it 2 yrs ago..(Corsa pace car)...Cost me about $1200(on a credit card)..Check out which brand you like since they're all there doing the installation..

Not really looking to change from stock. Just trying to get the car reliable. Trying to replace the important things that might leave me stranded.

I would replace the tires, and if you don't know when all the fluids were changed last, change all of them. Just make sure there are no leaks anywhere on the car and have fun on your trip.

Look at the harmonic balancer with the engine running and see if looks like it wobbles. If it does not look like it's wobbling then it is fine.

I agree with Vetteman. Think about changing all fluids and tires. All of that is a good chunk of change. But, after that it's just drive.
