I'm new to the Vette world here...I originally joined to try to sell or trade my Trans Am for a Vette. Well I finally found one and I love it. I don't know anything about this damn car but you guys have really been a big help. Most of my post are in the for sale section, but I read alot of the info...Maybe once I have some valid information to contribute to the cause I will, but until then I won't spread misinformation. Thanks guys alot!!!

Treat the car with respect and care and it will return the favor.
It also doesn't hurt to find a good GM trained mechanic if you don't like turning wrenches yourself.
I tell you what, I'm on two other forums, one is totally obnoxious with rants and a bunch of SMART*SS'S. The other is pretty informative with a lot of knowledgeable people on there. But neither touches this one with the knowledge and very helpful people on here, yes we have a few S.A. on here too, but just ignore them and move on. If you need help, all you have to do is ask. Welcome, L8R ZFLASH
I would have to say that if not for this forum I would either have never pulled the trigger on a Corvette or I would have bought myself a real headache. I did not buy my car from a member or thru the for sale section, but I did read, ask questions and research the model I thought would suit me best.
Congrats on owning a piece of American history. I totally agree with Stingraymyway. You respect that vehicle and it will show you one hell of a good time.
I suggest a good look over at the forum stickys for C5.
For Corvette, there is no finer place on the net.
Anything you need for a Corvette, it's here in one way or another.
This car. It is unique. Hard to put in words.
The C5, its chassis; It gives an awesome raw feel in the delivery of its power.
'''Welcome to the Forum Swaie!" This is the coolest community to be a part of. We want to hear from you. We also wish you a lot of happieness with your new Ride. So tell us more about it (including pics) an a little more about yourself. Such as where you live, and do you save the wave an is your ride going to be your DD. Like myself, i'm sure you'll come to enjoy hearing from the 'friends' here on the forum. "Rock On!"
If it wasn't for this forum, I'd still be driving around in a stock C5, and wouldn't have spent $7,000 on engine mods, $2,500 on brakes and diff mods, and $1,500 on hood/spoiler and body mods!
But at least with the advice etc from people on here I did it right
Welcome!
Yea, I'm still trying to line out some of the issues in my car such as the starter, replaced the tranny, ac compressor just went out, front bumper needs to be repainted, and lower radiator support needs to be replaced. Just a bunch of small things. By small things I mean BIG THINGS. But once I get it all straightned out I will be good. I love the car and its awesome to be in with such a tight group of people.
I do save the wave, but my windows are tinted, so you get the two fingers off the top of the wheel
