A comment about the use of the word rare when selling a Corvette. I'm in the market now, and focused on buying a C5. The word "rare" is certainly overused when it comes to selling a Corvette and is usually used to justify a higher than average price for a car that probably isn't worth more than average. Personally, I find it to be a turnoff when I read an add.
The question you have to ask yourself (apologies to Clint Eastwood), Does anyone care that the attribute, such as the color, is "rare"? If folks are looking for that option or color, then it matters that it's "rare". If it's not something sought after, then it's no big deal and no one cares if it's rare.
im talking about a white frc.i have one. A 99. And i know that its the second rarest color behind the.nassau blue.only 8 percent were white.i see pewter ones all day long with a high price.so how much is a nice white one really worth?

When you add the words, "what is it worth?," the implication is that the rarity makes it more valuable. It just isn't so. It's the buyer who has to have the white on red or the silver on red or ? that dictates how much cash they are willing to part with.
