Bought a new Borla X-Pipe that was an open box item. It has no directions with it and is suppose to be missing only one bolt. Does anyone have a location online where I can find the directions? A search on here got me a lot of C6 threads, search engines turned up items for sale and the Borla site does not have the C5 directions listed for some reason.
Looking to get those before I start taking the stock H-Pipe off.
Read it over, sounds okay. The photos help some, no torque specs but I found a Mid America exhaust install video that said the flange bolts should be 35 ft/lbs so I will use that for that end. I will hopefully be able to reuse some of the bolts since I am short some, or find some that will work well.
I had hoped that this x-pipe would have been like some I had installed a number of years back when I had a couple of mustangs and go all the way to the headers but it looks like it stops just before the cats. I actually have a couple of small sections of stainless pipe sitting around from the old systems that I might be able to use to extend the stainless sections but won't know until I get it jacked up and take a look. Looks like I will have to put it in the driveway to get it done since it is under the 4-post right now and the car on the top has no battery and I would rather not leave it out, I suppose I could pull it in open headers if I had to.
The H-pipe has to come off anyways to put my new tunnel panel on (abs of steel) so I figured I would go for a little more sound and maybe some more power swapping this out when I do it.

Sounds good - take some pics along the way so it can help some others when they want to do it for their Vettes too!

Thanks,matt
Sure thing, going to take video and get some sounds of before and after. I found it hard to find exhaust clips of stock and then just an x-pipe swap without headers and the like. Hopefully that will help people as well, will upload the videos to youtube and get photos up on my website if I ever figure out how to get it updated again.

Get some sound clips from normal listening perspectives (ie: off to the side and 6' high). There are far too many sound clips that put the camera/mic right at the tailpipe. All exhaust sounds great when you're that close & rev the pee out of it! A short walk-around at idle would be good too!
Planned for my next days off and will get the videos up on youtube. I will be at the track all day Friday but early next week we should be a go to get some work done.
