So I got my windows tinted few months back & just got to take a few quick shots. All my other vehicles I had were tinted as well, but never made this much of a difference as far as appearance to me. If your curious the specs on the tint is 32% on the side windows & front windshield & 20% on the back glass. I don't have any trouble as far as visibility at night, guess my HID'S helps out alot on that. I'm sure I'll post more pics in the future since my car is in the shop as we speak lol. Anyways here's a before & after of the Tint job.

Looks great!! It makes a huge difference!! I went 12% on the rear hatch and 20% on the sides!!

 

Looks great. Tint is the first thing I do to any vehicle I buy. I just had my C5 done with 5% on the sides and back. Mine is silver also. Loved what it did for the car.

 

Here in Pennsylvania it's illegal for the front windsheild, Or I was told so, But I tinted my two side windows at 20% and it makes a world of difference. But I often have people ask me how much tint did I do to the hatch on the car, and I've never had it tinted. It looks tinted, but the car came from Bowling Green that way. I bought the car from the now defunct "Bill Heard Chevrolet Inc. in Sugarland TX. and it was /or is tin ted, but I never did any tin ting to that glass.

The youg guy who took over his fathers business as it was the only tintin g shop in this part of the county told me he'd never advise anyone in their twenties to go beyong 15% side tint, but for an old guy like myself 20% is fine.

Looks great! Been wanting to put on some tints but the LEO's around here really don't like it.

 

Tint does make a difference, for appearance, and for lowering temps in the vehicle. First thing I do with my cars, get them tinted, all legal percentages.

I want to tint the rear glass and front windows on my FRC but I keep hearing from too many people I know here in the Lancaster area that the police will nail me for it. Not woth the headache or tickets. I guess you've been lucky. The staties out here want any excuse to pull people over...or so it seems.

The first and only ticket I've received in my C5 was a fix-it for the tinted side windows. The CHP officer then threw in the "no-front plate" ticket.

Approaching the Oakland Bay bridge on 80 in Berkeley when a CHP officer on a motorcycle stopped me. He has a tool which he placed on the side window which told him how much tint the window had. Told him I bought the C5 used from dealer in Napa. He said go back to the dealer and tell them it was illegal for them to sell me the C5 with that tint. I took it back to the dealer and them removed the tint. Also had to dig out the front plate and installed it and took it to the local CHP sub-station and had an officer sign off the ticket.

I've had the front plate on and off since then depending on my paranoia. Never replaced the side window tint.

Your car looks great with the tint, but I'd never get away with having the front window tinted around here.

Michigan cops hate tint on front windows so I did mine 50%. Just dark enough to add some privacy and comfort, but not too dark that cops can't see if it is a guy or a girl driving.

Just bought my current coupe a couple of months ago out of state (Utah) and brought it back to Colorado. Not sure what percentages are legal here, but it had moderate tint in the side windows and near "Limo" tint in the rear hatch. I really like the dark rear on a black car as they are soooo very hot in the summer sun anyway. Thought that maybe my rear carpet won't get cooked!!

Since I bought it out of state, I had to have the VIN verified at the local cop shop! I thought surely they would tell me that at least the rear tint had to go!!!!!

The officer was a very nice, and cool person, and when he came out his first comment was, "Ooh, a black 'Vette in hundred degree heat! That'll be fun, ha ha." (This is my third black one and after the first one, I said I'd never own another black one!!! Can't help it!!! The black ones always whisper my name anytime I'm near one!! "Mike, come look at me. You know you have to have me. Mike, take me home. I'll be faithful and love you like no other......)

Well, long story not so short, I purposely had the side windows down and out of sight, but was still worried. Ha ha, he never even looked at the windows and just filled out the form and told me to enjoy my new car!! I was all paranoid about nothing!!
