I ran a search and found lots of general rim topics, but nothing quite what I'm looking for.
I'm looking to get back into a C5 and have an offer out on a 99 with the original C5 style wheels. They may be ok for a while, but before I buy new tires for this set I want to upgrade the wheels.
I tend to like the Z06 look on a red car. If I was getting a black car, I'd get chrome wheels. Since the car I'm looking at is red, I think the painted wheels would look best for me.
I've found TONS of Z06 repro and "oem" wheels out there. But here's my question(s):
A - where can I find links to buy new ones which are painted like the originals were? All I see are chrome or black.
B - where can I also find the best price on these --- without buying a grossly overweight wheel vs factory? (ie - best bang for the buck)
This car won't be seeing any tracks. Just for weekend drives and occasional nice days to work.
I dont know where to get new ones But thier is a Guy in the Forsale section rogerz06 selling a set of powder coated gray for 800.00 B.O. They are real nice what I think you are looking for are the Argent colored one's I see them for around 600.00-900.00 in great shape.
I'll look into House of Wheels when/if I hear back on the car. Both the offer last night and my follow-up call today went oddly straight to voicemail.
I have a friend who is a manager at a company that services the aircraft parts industry who can powder coat things for me on the side, the trick would be finding rims with bad finishes that aren't torn up with curb rash. Or can that be easily fixed??

C5 Z06 wheels come up for sale quite often here on the forum - just look for a good deal on a set that does not have any road rash on them. Personally, I think chrome wheels would look very good on a TR car, or even the polished Z16 wheels from the '04 Z06 would look good.
