Alright, I've done a little research, but haven't found a true answer. First question, when I open my drivers door all the interior lights work properly, but when I have the drivers door shut and just open the passengers door none of the interior lights come on. Is it the switch inside the door latch? Does the C5 have that or what?
Second question, when I unlock the car itself, none of the interior lights come on, until you open the door. Is that normal? I've had the car for to long and before I did anything, I brought it to an alarm company and had a remote start installed and big alarm system installed, but it drives me crazy that the interior doesn't glow when I unlock the car. I scrolled through the options, but couldn't find anything.
Well I would start looking at the switch on the drivers door first. I don't know if my lights come on when I unlock it remotely or not. Never really thought about it. I don't drive it after dark enough to notice.
Well I want to say it never worked, but I don't remember. When I bought the car the fobs never worked so I had to always use a key to get in. So I was just wondering if the switch is bad in passenger door and how big of a PIA it is to change or fix.
If Im not mistaken there are options for the lights to come on when unlocking the car that you can set how you want, not sure about the doors though. But then again you may only be able to set how long the lights stay on.
