Car mount for Ipod/Iphone
Any help is always appreciated.
I have a 2004 coupe and recently installed the Ipod2Car set up. I wanted to build a easy mount to keep the controls out in the open and stationary instead of sliding every with every turn. I ran the cable out from behind the dash up to the cup holder. My mount consists of a spray paint can lid (which fits perfectly into the cup holder) and an Apple docking station glued together.
The problem I have run into is that with the cable plugged into the back of the docking station and the Ipod/Iphone sitting in the docking station the music will not play through the car. I know it is getting some signal through because the Ipod/Iphone will still charge. If I take the cable off of the docking station and plug straight into my Ipod/Iphone then the usic will play like it is suppose to.
Any one else have this problem and have you been able to overcome it?
If I can't overcome it then I will probably just end up having to make a new mount. Feel free to share any pictures of ipod mounts for a C5. I am trying to avoid having a bunc of cable exposed....
Since the new iPhone powerjack is much smaller it may not support the current stand up solutions either.
