Isimple POS!?
Greetings, I purchased the iSimple kit from Double D with the GM4 cable. Followed install instructions verbatim! It's properly installed with proper cable connections. Iphone charges but otherwise is not recognized. I have no cd changer, this was connected at the back of the radio. I have triple checked the connections and switch settings. The radio acts like it always did, plays CD if one is present, ignores cd/aux if one isn't. There is no recognition of the Iphone or device interface whatsoever at the head unit.
I am using Iphone 3Gs running IOS4.
Any idea's?
In reading some search results, it seems there are various issues with this kit, from battery drain to interrmittent control, to chirping among other things mentioned. Seems maybe the best plan might be to return this and look for plan B.

Thanks guys'. I will get in touch with Dennis. This was a two part project, with the other part swapping in a C6 shifter. After messing with the iSimple for 3+ hours, reconnecting cables, double checking dip switches, (I even inverted them as I have seen many switches mounted upside down in my day.) ..but no luv! I wanted to drive the car with the new shifter, and since that job was all done, I removed the iSimple and put it all back together. Looks like I may have to go back in and adjust the shifter, (new thread coming on that )...so I'll see what Dennis can offer and try again maybe...or maybe just go to a new radio. After reading some of the threads on this thing, and now my own bad experience, I may indeed go that route.
