Default Another Exhaust Question

This has been overdone I know but I need your help - I have been looking for awhile now on which exhaust to install, I am leaning towards the Magnaflow with V8 5.7L XL Series; Axle-back; 5 x 8 x 14in. Muffler; 2.5in. Tubing; 4.0in. Polished Stainless Tip; QUAD CENTER REAR EXIT. I have heard they are very nice sounding but what is more important, is the resonance inside the cabin, are they too loud inside? Please help if you have these????

You need to go either to a Corvette Club meeting or a Corvette Show in your area and hear them for yourself. Nobody but you can tell you what you will like and not like. Good luck.

Try searching video clips on youtube. That should help in your decision also. Not sure about the interior noise with a Magnaflow, but I saw a C5with a magnaflow on the highway, and couldn't even hear it.

not sure if what i have is the same as that, but i have the Magnaflow cat-back with the x-pipe. it sounds bad-*** but the drone is bad in a rpm range of 1200 to 1800 at part throttle. i have a 2000 coupe. it is still bad even with sound deadening i installed throughout the interior. i have been living with it but i will change it out soon with the titanium zo6.

Just installed a set of 2 1/2" XSPower axle backs and they're SWEET! Not too loud and no drone. The wifey even likes them!

I searched through youtube for hours, could only find a couple clips on interior resonance. I installed MidAmerica Quad Power and love them little or no interior resonance

Sometimes it's hard to get to hear them in person though, unless you go to a Vette show or ask people to start their car for you. I listened to many clips on youtube and eventually settled on the B&B Bullets with x-pipe (and headers). I already had the mid-america "quad cruiser exhaust on the car which overall was slightly louder than stock, but sounded a bit pitchy/raspy at higher rpm's.

However, we have the mid-america "Quadra Power" exhaust (with x-pipe) on our other Vette and it sounds REALLY good.. not too loud/not too quiet. This would be a good option for you. Interior resonance is minimal unless you get on it but who cares so much about that when you have a great sounding car?!!

I went with B&B Bullets, x-pipe and headers. Upon the initial start-up of the Bullets, my jaw dropped... absolutely amazing and a free-flowing exhaust which helped throttle response a little more. They are loud, but GOOD loud; Very deep. IMO, the way the Vette should sound. I don't even listen to the radio because I'd rather hear the car! But, if you drive the car everyday (which I don't), a quieter set-up would probably suit you better. As a weekend driver, it is just so much fun to fire up this beast and turn heads everywhere. (When I want it quiet, I just keep it under 2,000 rpm's and chug along.) There are so many options to make these cars sound great. If anything, just be sure to include an x-pipe.
