The face of the gas tank is wet around the fuel module connection to it & the gas is dripping from the shield.
A dollar says it's the fuel filter. Pretty common and it runs out of the shield. Good news is the filter is easy to access on the early models. It's mounted to the frame above the wheel well. Simple fix.
I just developed a significant leak, drivers side. It appears to leak around the fuel module at the rear of the gas tank, maybe 6-10 drops /minute.
Does anyone know if this a relatively simple fix (new gasket/seal)?
Is it safe to drive to my mechanic (~15 miles)? I had an fire while driving in a '66 911 from a leaking fuel line.
Thanks for any input.
Might be as easy as tightening the claps on the fuel tank crossover tube. Thats what happened to me last year drivers side. If your dripping fuel that much, i wouldnt drive it 15miles

If it is not the fuel filter (easy to replace yourself) or a relatively easy tightening of some bolts, I sure wouldn't drive it anywhere with fuel leaking.
