I will say just be careful and take your time. You cannot heat up the circuit board too much. I told my friend this when he bought a set from me. He did the mod and some led's were out.
Then blamed me lol and said the diode was "cracked" ......

I bought the LED tails and did the mod myself using this video. A quick trip to radio shack for some parts (very inexpensive) and a soldering iron and your set. If you like to do projects on your own then go for it as the procedure is very easy and straight forward but a little time consuming at first, but the last two went faster after I got the hang of it. Did it about a year and a half ago and never had a problem with them.
