DIY halo tail light mod?
Anybody ever do a write up how to modify tail lights for the halo?
I know you can buy them, but I'm a do it yourself kind of guy, plus I like having something to tinker with.
I tried to search for threads but came up with nothing..

I will say just be careful and take your time. You cannot heat up the circuit board too much. I told my friend this when he bought a set from me. He did the mod and some led's were out.
Then blamed me lol and said the diode was "cracked"
......

There is a DIY on Youtube, but you must buy the correct LED tails. You can't use the stock ones or any other of the led tails.
We only charge $45 for the mod and we warranty it

I bought the LED tails and did the mod myself using this video. A quick trip to radio shack for some parts (very inexpensive) and a soldering iron and your set. If you like to do projects on your own then go for it as the procedure is very easy and straight forward but a little time consuming at first, but the last two went faster after I got the hang of it. Did it about a year and a half ago and never had a problem with them.

I wasn't aware that the halo mod on those lights already uses the existing LEDs, just rewiring them.
