I wore out my leather seats and went back with the two tone plether type and have now worn out the driver side again. These did not last but about two years. I also need the foam for the driver side. Any idea where I could get a sweet deal on new foam for the driver side and seat covers to replace again. Times are tough but I still like my ride looking good. My car is Torch red with black interior. I did the two tone Black/Red last time and it looks real nice. Just wish it had lasted longer. This is a DD so it gets used.
You need to get good quality leather seat covers from a reliable source. Do not get pleather or faux leather or whatever they call it these days.
Once you have good quality leather seat covers installed, you need to treat the leather at least once a week with a good quality cleaner/ protectant. I like to use Mequiar's Rich Leather. Your covers should last a long time.
I can attest to the quality of the seat covers from www.c5seats.com.
PS: Do not use the OEM seat covers as a benchmark on how long leather seat covers last. GM used the cheapest leather available. I don't even know where they found leather so thin and crinkly.
