bad day just keeps on going
So i did the stupidest thing today.. dont bash me for this just having a bad day but i was changing my battery out and when the car was bought it had the wrong battery so the terminals were on opposite side. As you can tell whats going to happen next i hooked up the terminals backwards on the new battery and a rush of smoke just rose from the car and take them off switch the terminals and pray the car turns on and it does! but whats the smoke from? the starter? whats the damage? Help me out here guy

Man you are lucky for sure on your fuseable link on the car. I just dropped a wrech on top of the batt and it blow my fuseable link. It took me a few hrs to run that puppy down..
