What exactly is going on with it? You may just need to reset your stops if it isn't working.
I became a member of the flying roof club and replaced the top. I put in new weatherstripping on the (used) top. I need to adjust the window to fit so there are no leaks but I got caught out in an unexpected rainstorm. After the leak on the drivers side, I noticed the telescoping steering wheel would not work anymore.
I was thinking either I got a screwed up relay switch under the drivers seat of I have lost the ground. Then I got to thinking it might be a fuse.
I appreciate any advice or directions. I definitely want to learn as much as possible. Thanks, Bill.
I have read a thread or two about relays under the seat being involved due to tie-ins from the memory package, so you might do a search on that. However, like the previous poster says, there have been a couple on re-setting the soft stops on the column travel as well. That sounded like a pretty simple procedure, so I would try that first if it were me. My last one had the memory package and I didn't even know that "soft stops" existed as I was lucky and never had any problems. Many others did have various problems though.
