Default SLP rear spoiler opinions

Hey guys,(and gals) about ready to pull the trigger and call Josh at RPI designs on a torch red slp rear spoiler for my 00 coupe. Which he can bring down to Carlisle for me to pick up.

As always i value your opinions and feedback on this and usually "consult" the board before i buy. Anyone have one? Or seen one on a c5? Again, as in the past thanks in advance for the feedback.good or bad. (any pics would be great as well) Ken

I have an SLP (pre-painted Electron Blue) on my 03 C5Z. Instructions are clear, paint work is first class, install was a breeze (with a recommended) second pair of hands, and adhesion is fantastic with the 3M tape provided. Oh and the fit is great right out of the box.

Spoiler has been on since about May and I couldn't be happier with it. It is so secure that it is as if it's bolted on.

In MHO you could not make a better choice.

I've got one for my '99 TR FRC & like it a lot! The color is right on. I've had mine for serveral yrs now while living in "hot" Houston & "Cool" Illinois & the double sided tape is still doing its job. IMO this spoiler looks like its a factory option...Go for it!

It is the only one for C5's that I like, and that you can get it pre-painted to match is just awesome!!!! It's definitely on my list!!

I bought a torch red spoiler from RPI in May. Easy install, with an extra pair of hands, and looks awesome on the C5. I had a slight blemish in the paint - just my luck, but decided to install it anyway. I was able to buff it out somewhat but I know where it is. Color match however was an exact match. Buy one!

I have been leaning towards getting the same spoiler for mine - seeing the pics here has helped a lot and I think I'll be ordering one soon.

If your looking at torch red. Here is mine. I picked up from a forum member and painted it myself. Turned out pretty well. Sorry it is the best pic I have for now.

I'll be bringing one to Carlisle to sell, if anyone's interested. It'll need a repaint unless your paint code is 87U.

RPI Designs sells them already painted. Contact Josh and see if he can get one done for you by then.

LOVE mine. As has been mentioned, great fit, color is spot on, straight forward installation. To me it compliments the body lines. Went a little extra with the 2 sided tape and adhesive just to be on the safe side.
