Default Some people are crazy!

Had a guy try to trade me today for my 99 FRC a 2003 coupe with an LS7? The only thing about the car that was LS7 were the valve covers.
How he made them fit,I don't know. He truly believe he has a LS7 C5.

I actually felt sorry for the guy,but then I wasn't sure if he was trying to sell me a Bill of goods. I told him I didn't think he had an LS7 and left it at that. I live in Florida,we have zombies here!

Wishful thinking on his part. If he doesn't have the bigger engine, hopefully he didn't pay extra for it when he bought the car.

Exactly, everyone cannot tell the difference between these LS engines.

You told him you didn't "think" he had an LS7? Did you look at the intake mani runners to see if it had the LS7 intake mani? LS7 covers won't even fit an LS1 without some modification because there's no oil cap cutout or location to even pour oil into the valve cover due to dry sump.

LS7 swaps are common and you just said he was wrong when he could've very certainly had an LS7

The 853 heads, basic LS1 exhaust manifold,Oil service neck and the Base 2004 fresh air inlet told me it was a good chance this wasn't an LS7 engine. The guy bought the car this April that way and doesn't seem to know the different between engines and i think he actually think it has the LS7 cause it's what printed on the engine covers. It was an awkward moment talking to this guy. Not sure what he paid for it. He had it listed at 11k obo,but that was an error. when i got there he said it suppose to have been listed at 17k. If that wasn't enough to run, The car was suppose to have 35k on the clock, but that was yet another error as it has 135k and looks it. It was a waste of trip.

No, I take it back. it wasn't a wasted trip! Since i was already there decide to cruise the beach at Daytona and got to see a ton of pretty ladies and some nice cars.

Sorry Wag. Was driving on the beach and the old lady was with me .Pictures are embedded into my brain. Maybe someday they will have a device that you can plug up your exit hole and it can download you memories into a file. I know they have eye glasses now and are testing contact lenses that records video and transmit it wireless to a device like your cell phone.
The contact lenses would be bad *** to use when your having angry sex.

Why? I knew it wasn't an LS7. It's not whether it was a LS7 or not. More of did the guy really believe he has a LS7 or does he think people are so ignorant that they would not know and buy it as if it had the LS7. It was just crazy. Goes to prove that there are all kinds out there. Like i said earlier, here in Florida we have Zombies and this guy may have been bitten by one and waiting for transformation.I love this state, but we have some crazies!

I don't think you have all of them. I have a 70 Eldorado I listed on Craigs for $3500. It would be a project car. Guy with an Indian accent calls. I could hardly understand him. He yammers on about it has been his dream of his to own such a car since he was 16. Says if I'm not in a hurry to sell, would I finance it cause he doesn't have the money right now. Listed my Harley on an ebay classified at $9500 or trade for a C3.. Guy asks if I want to trade for some guns.

Then you should have explained it to him so he will be educated not just leave him twisting in the wind.

Thats how people remain ignorant because nobody actually corrects them. Next time, do the right thing.
