I have a stock corvette bose system without a CD changer. What part number do I need to have an iPod interface? I want to keep my stock radio and just an audio jack to hook into my iPod. Anyone have pics of them hooked up and a part number or a link is even better.

I have the complete kit that's plug and play $100.00 shipped
Charges your I pod and you can use the radio for I pod functions
I bought one. It's now in the pile of worthless items I have purchased over the years. 2001, standard Bose CD player unit, no cd changer, not on the options sticker, not on the window sticker, nowhere to be found. I installed the thing a few weeks back, and all it would do is power the IPOD. No signal! No recogntion of the device by the radio whatsover!. I conferred with the vendor and iSimple tech support, and tried a second time. None of the "tricks' they suggested worked. After hours of frustration I pulled the thing back out and threw it in the pile! Back to CD's and FM and $90 wasted!
go to any car audio shop and they will have "generic" ipod kits that install between the antenna and radio. An a/b switch tells the radio whether to play FM or the ipod. Sound is good, they will work on Bose, non-bose, don't need a CD.
I purchased the kit from DoubleD last year or so. At first I was not pleased however I have come to understand what DoubleD was saying. For the age of the cars stock electronics and to adapt todays technology, DoubleD has what you need.
DoubleD please accept this as an apology for previous slams. The system that you sell is the best for the interfacing C5's stock radio to todays technology.

I bought mine here. A friend recommended. I paid about $129.00
It works fine except I was disappointed that the only control you have over your iPod from your radio is going to the next or last song, you cannot change albums or artists without pulling your iPod out of your console (or wherever it is) and playing with it while you are driving down the road.... not safe.
I just pulled out my stock radio and soldered cat 5 wire to the cd left and right channels then ran the wire under the console where I can plug in my i-phone, works great !!

I like that idea. I have a hard time spending $$ for an accessory when for a little more cash, I could get an aftermarket single din that has everything ready to go + will sound better than stock.
Did you butcher an iphone cable to do it? I want to add a USB port... can it be done using your method?

I have told you to send it back for exchange.
I have just looked at all our sales of these ipod kits and we have sold 8781 kits and counting since 2007
I have had 5 kits that had an issue. Yours sound sounds like it might be number 6
All you need to do is send it to me and we will exchange for a new one.

I don't use an ipod but have been trying to find a solution to just add a 3.5mm jack into the stock system. I'm getting so fed up with not finding anything solid that will work. I'm very close to saying screw it and getting the DoubleD August special for a double din touchscreen.
