Default Hotchkis Sway Bars

I'm looking to get Hotchkis Sway bars for my Z06. I'm getting mixed reviews on wether they are worth it on the Z06. Anybody have them on their Z06? How do they perform over stock sways?
I do canyon runs quite a bit and go to the track a couple times a year. Not my DD

I put them on my '01 ZO6 I they make a good handling ride into a much better one. Was one of the best upgrades for the $. Basic ride is slightly stiffer but make a huge difference in the twisties. A&A installed them.

I have them on my Z06. IMHO they are a great addition for the $ spent. They are about 20% stiffer than the Z bars and keep body roll to a minumum. Check sig pic - hitting turn 3 at VIR hard and virtually no roll.

I'm curious about the source of this number.

I'm not sure about the percentage either but only a few weeks ago someone posted a chart showing the stiffness ratios of the available bars. I don't recall who posted it but it was very informative.

I don't have any experience with the Hotchkis bars but I just installed the Pfadt JOC kit on my Z and noticed a big difference. The ride around town is still great but taking clover leafs and other spirited turns is MUCH improved.

Just another option for you to consider. I'm very happy with my full Pfadt JOC kit.

This is what we were going to come in and suggest as well. For not much more extra cash our Johnny O'Connell sway bar packages include both front and rear endlinks, and bar rates that are designed to make the Corvette easier to drive by dialing out a little bit of the oversteer that you see with the factory bar packages.

Yeah, that was actually me. The thread is here:
corvetteforum.com/c5-z06-discussion/sway-bar-spring-rate-comparison-table

Reason I asked was that his claim disagrees with the manufacturer's claim. Just trying to establish whether his 20% number is just a guess, or something he heard somewhere, or something else.

Nice thread. I did put Hotchkis Sway bars on mine. A guy was selling a brand new set for a price I did not want to pass up. I like the rears for the fact I had multiple settings to choose from. As for better handling? I will just say it does feel a bit better than the stockers, but I still have not been able to truly put it to the test. I drive mainly on the street, so these are a nice little upgrade. The truth is (at least my opninion), it is your car and you will have to just try and find what is right for you. Some guys will say don't do it; others will will recommend an alternative, etc. etc. Thing to keep in mind is what is everyone doing with their cars? When and where are they driving it. The post above mine have been good in the sense you are getting some good feedback, but sometimes that is not always the case.

Good luck,

Micah
