Default Header PITA

I'm about 15 hours deep in removal of stock exhaust 01 c5 mn6 and install of LG street headers. Both headers are finally hung instructions were worthless there's about five more items per side that have to be removed. The collectors bracket is about two inches away from the mount. All I can say at this point is they look great but I'd never ever buy them again! I will go back to American racing headers. I have had several sets over the years and never any issues with install.

LG have the life time warr on them will not ever have to get a diff set. Like above guy not bad at all. If you think the LG are bad put some power to that car and try putting a set of 2 inch headers with the motor in the car. Now that is a 5 hr job there. Robert

There should be a straight flat metal bracket with holes in it in the box. That is used to connect the collectors to the bell housing mount.

I was told that it was just used to hold them in place until everything is tightened up and then, you remove it.

I just installed my LG headers today and had no fitment issues at all. I was also installing them with the car on a lift and this may be the difference. Only thing that caught my attention in how great they looked on my car. Good luck with the rest of your install.

That would make Sense but it's not there plus no instructions I went on lg web site. But still had to remove starter, alternator, coil packs, oil temp sender, but I didn't have to mess with the motor mounts. I'm all calmed down now! They do look great and I expect good pulling power.

Kooks are even worse. I had to take both motor mounts loose and raise up the motor and pry it over just to get them in.

I expected the same thing. All I got was a nicer sound. I believe it will produce more power after I get it tuned.

Default Car has 100k

Headers are all bolted in new Ngk iridium plugs in , coil packs are on, throttle body has been sent out. Clean about two coffee cups of sand out of radiator and condenser . Which I do every year. Drained radiator and added 1 gal of dexecool and distilled water. I done it ever 30k. Catch can ordered. New wires. New varraram air bridge, already had cold air scoops and TI's. Cars been tuned twice now this will be number three. Used C6 wheels with new tires and tpms. Pulled the valve covers rockers are tight and look good. This time I'm going to have the F45 deleted. New O2 rear sensors for front. Should I have the rears deleted or run the old ones?.

LG Motorsports wasn't bad to install. Now when I installed the set of Kooks 1 7/8" Longtubes.... That was a pain in the ***!
