Time to bite the bullet and order some leather wrapped A4's and the brackets from RacingSeatsUSA...anything else I will need or inevitably encounter during the install? Better place to order from??

A lot of people - including me - stacked washers to raise the front of the rail/seat up. I think I ended up raising mine about 3/4 of an inch. Another thing you may want to do it drill a small hole in at the end of the recline lever and put a loop of cord there. It's a little difficult to reach as it's up against the tunnel.
Couldn't agree more with the above. I used several washers on the fronts of mine. You are going to wonder why/how GM put the stock seats in after you get this install done.
Not to be rude, but use the search function and there is a guy who posted a detailed instruction of how he put his together. I think he ended up being too big of a guy for the seats but the write up is excellent. I just don't have time to find it right now for you.
By the way, there is a set of leather A4s for sale here on the forum. Might be able to save yourself a few hundred dollars.
