I have an 04 so let me give you my purchase story for comparison sake. I saw the Vette on a local Hyundai lot and I had gone to school with the dealership owner. Just on a whim I stopped in and asked for the story on the car and the price. It turned out the car belonged to a guy I had known for 20 yrs and he had SOLD it to the dealership to get rid of it as he was getting married, only had a 2 car garage and his new wife had her own car and he had a new truck and he didn't want to leave the Vette parked outside. I looked the car over, drove it, then called the previous owner and being a friend he gave the straight dope on the car and I bought it the next day. I was lucky but you should research till you feel you know enough to make the purchase of your choice. There is a Vette out there somewhere with your name on it. Take your time and thank you for your service. Almost forgot; black on black Vette coupe; was nearly immaculate, auto, good paint, new tires, all original except for new exhaust and Z06 wheels 40k on the clock, paid $23K. One of the best auto buys of my life. Patience.
