Hi folks new to the forum and the Corvette world..have an 2002 Z06 that has a torn gasket in the stock airbox ...was wondering what aftermarket set up would be good .. or is it worth the money????
I'm running a West coast corvette Hurricane system and i love it. Its light weight (about 8 lbs lighter than stock shroud and box), functions as a semi-ram air, and doesn't suck up water. It also netted me 10whp and 8lbs of tq across most of my rpm band on a dynojet without any other mods or even a tune. Price is right too if you don't opt for the "carbon fiber" version lol.
I have a Vararam intake and a tune on my '04 Z. Car made 376whp. The only thing I don't like about the Vararam is it makes it hard to have a tow hook for when I do track days.
Vengeance Racing tuned my car. It is really something a pro with a dyno should do.
Agreed. My air/fuel was whack after I installed my intake and kept throwing my check engine light. I wouldn't trust a hand held to make those kind of corrections.
i talked to that group of people last year at vettes on the rockies good group of people..and seemed to know their stuff really well..had some very nice cars on display as well
