I told Dennis that at 59 years old I no longer had the desire to do the work myself and asked if he does installations. Dennis does, but as he pointed out, he is in Wisconsin and I am in California.

Well, I just returned from Wisconsin and Dennis is all that this forum has raved about and more. I arrived at Double D Mods in my C5 coated with road grim and caked with bugs. A day and half later I left Double D Mods with my in dash navi system. What I also received but did not pay for was a clean car, door panels that no longer squeaked/rattled and a lot less road noise.

Dennis loves Corvettes, loves what he does and does it very well. If you are looking for an in dash navi unit for your C5, look no further, Dennis is THE man. So, if you want him to do the install, The Hotel Julian, just 5 miles from Double D Mods in Dubuque, Iowa room 302 is the place to stay and of course Dennis will taxi you there and back, no charge.

Thanks John for taking the time to post your review on our services
It was our pleasure to have you and Gloria drop the car off for a few days to make all the changes for you. I am sure the ride back was a little more fun with the new tunes to listen to as well.

Thanks again and we will be sure to look you guys up when we are in CA next time.

The prior owner of the car had a stereo system installed at one time. From the looks of it when he or she sold the car they were in a hurry to pull everything out. The door panels were not put on correctly as well as some of the other interior trim pieces. PLus there was alot of wiring inside the car that was cut and just left under the carpet for me to remove when installing his new speakers, amps and sub box.

We added a little bit of Dynamat to the doors as well when we installed the new front components. This takes away some of the road noise.

Dennis, where should the Dynamat on the doors go?

I always put it on the inside of the doors on backside of door skin.

We replaced his speakers with components so this is something we always add when changing speakers
