Corvette intervention
The wife and I drove down the Oregon coast to Lincoln City...BTW what a beautiful coast and the 101 is nice and twisty and sooo enjoyable to drive...wild beaches and great seafood....try it sometime...WELL....we went walking one day and came across a low end trailer park and there it was....a C5 vert with a torn top and peeling paint...crappy tires, rusty rims.....and it just looked like sh$t...made my stomach curl...my wife just knew it right away and said honey "this car needs an intervention" and I thought maybe we should start a group that intervenes and rescues these cars that are not loved and cared for...'The Abused Corvette Rescue Team' ...
...but seriously I hated seeing it so badly cared for....but it is what it is I guess.....a disappointment because I know how all of us on here love this iconic car and give them the best of care....some just don't get that

Don't get it.

For some (most) of us, Corvettes are more than just a car. It's a passion and a lifestyle that involves friends, clubs, shows, travel, road trips and caravans. To others, the C5 is just another used car. 
Although I hate to see any Corvette abused, a poorly maintained C5 only makes our well-maintained C5s look that much better. Plus, with used C5s hovering around $15K, almost anyone can now be "livin' the dream"!

There's LOTS of C4s that have just about melted into the ground. Wait another 10 years and you'll see many more C5s planted amoung the weeds.
