On four wheels, that is. Been through there many times on two but, this Sunday, I decided it was time to go and put the 'vette through the paces since I only live a few minutes from the road.
The 129Slayer and KillBoy photogs were out enforce so, I got some good snaps of the trip.
Nice. I plan to drive that road in the near future.
Question...Does the Dragon have pro photogaphers who snap your pictures or is everyone who is posting Dragon pictures bringing along their own photographer?
I would have a hard time telling my wife "Honey, get out and when I come around the corner, take a picture..."

There are a couple of pro's that shoot pics all day at the tail and they are usually positioned to get the best views of your car - They post the pics later in the day on their websites so you can see the pics and buy copies
Our Corvette club is going to Gatlinburg next month. Some of the members have talked about driving on the dragon tail. This will be my first trip there with them, as well as my first drive on the dragon tail. Looking forward to it. Glad to see there are pro photographers there. Nice pics, sbulla. You live in a great state. TN is my favorite place to visit. Might have to move there when we retire.

FYI - if you have the time while in that region I would suggest you also drive the Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Mt Mitchell some awesome views and fun driving with plenty of twisties

Also, for the those traveling in groups, make sure you give each other some space when going through the curves with the photographers so they can take more photos of each car.
Just went for the first time on Sunday myself. Totally awesome drive. Went up and down myself, and the girlfriend got a run in as well. She wanted to go as much as I did, great girl.
Took some GoPro vids that I need to get edited up, and I've got some good pics to buy from Killboy and us129photos.com too. Going to buy a print and frame at least one, lol.
I forget the hwy number (old hwy 73 I think) but the road that runs west out of the park/info center south of Gatlinburg towards Maryville is a nice drive too. Runs along side a river for quite a ways and it's shady too. (rode it on a bike on a hot day, so it was a extra nice little ride.)
