Hey guys. I've been thinking about planning a long trip next year to the Corvette Museam and also possible heading to the Kentucky Derby the same time.
Have any forum members done a trip like that? Also, if you guys know of any other cool places to see in Kentucky, please let me know. I've never been to the Corvette Musesm but can't wait to see it. I'm here in Jersey so it's about an 800 mile trip for us.
19 of us from our club made the trip the first week in May from NJ. It is in between 800 and 850 miles and can be tiring. I suggest you do it with at least one stopover. While in BG another good stop would be the corvette factory, just make sure they are open to tours before you go as they have been closing to get ready for the C7. Another nice stop would be Nashville which is 1 hour south of BG. Check out the Opryland Hotel. It's an experience in itself. Enjoy the museum is an experience. I have done it 5 different times from NJ.

Haven't been to too many places in KY, but the trip to the museum itself is worth the trip. While there, try and get a tour of the Corvette Plant also - very interesting and a nice addition to the trip.
Thanks, guys. I know it's gonna be a Lon trip but my wife has already told me we aren't going unless we stop at least two nights which is fine with me. I plan on taking that week off and taking our time anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing the museum and the factory.
