The car: 2002 Torch Red/Black Z06 equipped with AAB, DDO, and V49.
Build date: Feb 2002
Modifications: None
Current mileage: 1,000 miles
I’m taking the Halltech challenge tomorrow afternoon at Cartek in NJ with my bone stock 02 Z06. The car was broken in nicely and has not been abused. During the first 300 miles I kept it under 55, avoided any real throttle, and kept the revs below 4,000. After the 300-mile mark I started to give it a bit more gas. I went WOT a few times, but I was very smooth with the throttle and did not stay into it long at all. I still kept it below 55 and kept the revs below 4,500 RPM. I changed the oil at 700 miles and then took it out and hammered it wide open to redline through the first three gears a few times. The car ran good and strong with no apparent problems. The last 300 miles have been very easy with no WOT trips to redline and no high speed driving.
I’m going to dyno bone stock with wideband 02, pull off the dyno, install the T1-C, drive around for about 15 miles, and then dyno again with wideband 02. I will try to keep the coolant temps consistent for all runs. I will be posting pictures, dyno charts, MPEG video, and more.

This is gonna be a good post....
Is 15 miles gonna be enough? I thought the re-learn was more like 30 or more miles?

Sounds like this will be a nice controlled test. Getting gains on a '02 Z06 is not easy. I hope you get your 15 RWHP but from what I seen from others with these cars anything over 10 is impressive.

Gen II, I believe we all know know you feel about your Halltech product. I have seen several post from you about it. All the being said, I don't understand why you felt it necessary to hi-jack this thread. Sounds like a controlled test is going to happen today and many of us are excited to see the results. I am sorry you are having problems but I feel your lengthy post in this thread does not belong here. :nono:
Any results yet? I will be very interested to hear the results of this challenge.
Kudos to Jim for backing up his claims - lets see how the product does in an unbiased test.

I managed 12 peak but averaged 10RWHP improvement all the way from 2500 to red line - that improvement under the curve is very noticable. After injectors and MAFT install I picked up another 10 under the curve :)
