Value of C5 targa top

If you ran a business keeping on hand inventory for all your obsolete products you would not stay in business too long. The newest C5 is 13 years old now.

Burning Brakes
I'd also be on the lookout for anyone who is parting out a C5. If you catch it soon enough they might still have the top. But they go fast. I sold my see through top because here in South Carolina it would roast you alive in summer. I found a solid one that I had wrapped with a carbon fiber look, so it didn't matter the color.

Now if you owned a real supercar - Ferrari, Aston Martin, etc., they have a full spares service - they keep the drawings and specifications and will make to order, and the price matches that approach.
But that's not what we have - we are all running old Chevys.

Doesn't matter, Corvettes are not Ferraris! The mass manufacturers reckon to spare for 10-12 years or so. Anything past that is a bonus. And Chevy is a mass manufacturer. Once you are out of warranty they want you to buy a new one. The last C5 built is 15 years old; the earliest ones are 22 years old. We C5 owners are basically on our own at this stage of the vehicle's life.

If they did most wouldnt pay for em, the crowd is notoriously cheap. "My car is only worth 8k and they want..." see it a lot.
Gm used to have a resto parts thing many yrs ago not sure what happened there?
They know a person may spend 2k for an obsolete MB or Ferrari **** but the Chevy guys gonna be shopping on CL.
