Manual HVAC Controls Upgrade Idea
So I know it has been mentioned before, but I can not seem to find any threads that actually go anywhere. I know people with the dual climate system can upgrade to LEDs, but I have yet to see anything about the manual system.
Does anyone have a manual hvac unit lying around? It doesn't have to be working. I really want to take it apart or see if someone could take a picture of it apart. Especially with the main panel removed. (schematics would be even better) I need to see how the panel/*****/buttons connect to the rest of the unit.
Since it is a pretty simple system (3 ***** and 4 buttons), I think that we could machine a new face. Or at least figure out a way to put in more attractive *****/buttons.

Anyone have any pics or info on Z06joe's set up in the glove box?
Also thought about some kind of cover like the cig area has. Found a thread or two with the idea, but they never went anywhere.
